Terms

These are the terms you agree to when you use Overspill. They are written to be read, not to be impressive. If something here seems unfair, email overspill@usescalo.com and say so.

What Overspill does

You tell us which barbers you take inspiration from. We collect their public reels, score each one against that creator’s own median views, and break down the ones that beat it so you can rebuild them in your own way. We also score your own public reels and track how they move over time.

What Overspill does not promise

We do not promise you will grow, gain followers or get clients. What we give you is better information than you had before. What you film, and whether it works, is down to you. The numbers come from Instagram and we show them as we find them.

Your account

You must be 18 or over. Keep your password to yourself - anything done through your account is treated as done by you. One account is one person, except on Studio, where the extra seats are for people working in your shop and share your credit pool. Do not sell, share or rent your access.

What it costs

All prices include VAT and are charged monthly in advance through Stripe. If we change a price we will email you first, and the change only applies from your next renewal.

The free trial

Pro starts with a 3 day free trial. We take your card at the start but charge nothing until the trial ends. Cancel any time before it ends and you pay nothing at all. We will email you before the trial ends so the first you hear of it is not a bank notification.

Cancelling

Cancel in the app from Settings, in two taps, at any time. You keep what you have paid for until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again. We do not ask you to email us, we do not add a retention step, and we do not take one more month on the way out.

Refunds

If something is genuinely broken on our side, email us and we will refund you. Beyond that, monthly payments already taken are not normally refunded, because you can cancel before any renewal and the trial exists so you can try it without paying. This does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

Credits

An analysis costs one credit. Your allowance renews each month and does not roll over. Analysing a reel somebody else has already analysed costs you nothing. If an analysis fails on our side, the credit goes back automatically.

Fair use

Do not scrape Overspill, resell its output as your own product, attempt to get round the limits of your plan, or use it to harass anyone. We may suspend an account that does, and will say why.

The data you see

Reels, captions, thumbnails and numbers belong to the creators who posted them. Overspill shows them so you can learn from them. The scores, breakdowns and remixes we generate are yours to use in your own content. Do not republish another creator’s reel as if it were yours - take the idea, not the file.

Interruptions

Overspill depends on Instagram data staying reachable. If that breaks, parts of the app may be stale or unavailable for a while. We will fix it as fast as we can, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service, and our liability is limited to what you have paid us in the previous twelve months.

Ending it

You can close your account whenever you like and we will delete your data as described in the Privacy page. We can close an account that breaches these terms, and will refund any unused part of the period you have paid for unless the breach was deliberate.

The legal bit

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts there have jurisdiction. If we change them we will email you before the change takes effect.
